World Gratitude Day | Experience Love and Gratitude Everyday.
Table of Contents
September 21st is World Gratitude Day. This is an opportunity for us to reach out in kindness, to express and celebrate our gratitude. It is wonderful that we have a day for gratitude. It is also a reminder to be thankful for all we have, and all we are. I for one will be using this day to increase my gratitude and express my appreciation to the Great Spirit, life, love, and all other manifestations of the Life Force.
When I first heard World Gratitude Day was coming up, I immediately knew I wanted to write about it. Also, to bring it to the attention of as many people as I could. I started researching and it was during in the process of looking up some suitable quotes to use, that I simply decided to write about how I feel about gratitude. Three of the quotes that stood out were:
“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, ‘thank you,’ that would suffice.”
– Meister Eckhart
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.”
– Melody Beattie
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
– Oprah Winfrey
These say more than enough by themselves, but it was what I regularly say that got me into it. “Whatever you appreciate, appreciates” and “Energy flows where attention goes”. These simply tell us that if we keep our hearts and minds on the grateful outpouring of gratitude for all the good in our lives, then that is what we receive back in abundance.
Gratitude is everything – Gratitude is more than enough!
So, on World Gratitude Day find every opportunity you can to say thank you, to express your appreciation, and to announce your gratitude. And then, better still, make every day of your life a World Gratitude Day. All of the great writings on the subject declare; that if you really mean it (your gratitude), and extend it without qualification, your life will be enriched, abundance will flow, and prosperity (as you conceive it to be) will be made available to you.
On the other side of the coin, the recipient side, you just caused a positive energy shift. All of us feel so much better when we are recognised and appreciated. A sincere thank you goes such a long way!
Imagine the difference in the world if we all acted with gratitude and love instead of reacting from our usual default position.
You know I value gratitude and what it can do so much that our website has a category for it. As a healer, I know its energy works like no other for achieving positive outcomes.
I have also observed that people who practice it, seem happier. They experience more positive emotions, delight in many good experiences, have better health, deal with adversity easily, and build and maintain strong relationships.
We all indeed feel and express our gratitude in several different ways. We can apply it to the past, the present, and the future. I have always found it best applied to the present. However, regardless of your current level of gratitude, it’s something that we can all successfully cultivate even further.
Here are some ideas to help nurture gratitude on a regular basis.
Carry a Gratitude Rock.
I carry a gratitude rock in my pocket most of the time. The thing I love about it is that every time I put my hand in my pocket and touch it, it reminds me to take a moment and think about what I have to be grateful for. This really helps me stay in a state of gratitude. It also acts as a catalyst to take some positive action.
Count your blessings.
Pick a regular time every day to sit down and think about what you are grateful for. Or better yet, write about your blessings. Take time to reflect on the things that went right or what you are grateful for. If daily is a bit too much to handle, try weekly. As you write, try to be specific and also think about the sensations you were feeling when something good happened to you.
Write a thank-you note.
One of the best ways to make yourself happier, while nurturing your relationship with another person is to write a thank-you letter, or an email expressing your enjoyment and appreciation of their impact on your life. Make it a regular habit and aim to send at least one gratitude letter a month.
Send a thank-you card.
I find that looking for a reason to express my gratitude or simply say thank you is one of the best ways to stay in the vibrational frequency of gratitude! Years of sending thank you cards through the post leaves no doubt in my mind about the positive impact they have. Not just on me, but especially on the recipient. Feedback from so many of them also leaves no doubt that it makes them feel special and appreciated.

Thank someone mentally.
If you don’t have time to write, even mentally thinking about someone and mentally thanking them will still be beneficial to both of you.
Keep a gratitude journal.
Make it a habit to write down or share your thoughts and feelings about the gifts you receive each day. There are many gratitude journals for sale in the shops and online.
However, consider the Promptings Gratitude Journal if you are looking for something more. It is so much more than just a journal, it is a full gratitude training program for this modern era. Contact us Ron or Sue for more information.
