Crystals for a Burst Eardrum and/or Infection
Table of Contents
Our grandson arrived from overseas for a holiday with us. During his flight, he managed to rupture his eardrum and get it infected. His parents had taken him to the doctor and he was following the doctor’s advice for a burst eardrum and using the appropriate medications.
He had severe pain from his burst eardrum and the infection in his ear. He was also suffering bouts of vertigo and nausea.
Sue and I had to admit that we didn’t know what crystal to use for a burst eardrum. When we looked it up, we couldn’t find any reference for this complaint. There were however references for crystals for general ear complaints and infection. Lots of people also find they get some degree of vertigo and nausea to accompany it. So let’s deal with the whole thing.
Dealing with the pain and infection of a burst eardrum.
Amethyst is a good choice for pain relief and to quell the stress and concern regarding the burst eardrum. It also helps to reduce the ear swelling and strengthens the immune system to help fight infection. Amethyst is a good choice for vertigo as well, so long as it makes you feel grounded. As it has a multitude of energies, it is not necessarily “grounding” for everyone.
Blue Chalcedony to absorb negativity and promote harmonious emotions. It provides an immune system boost and has an anti-inflammatory effect, along with cleansing, healing, and balancing properties. It will also help to repair the ears.
Celestite is an excellent healing stone, especially for dissolving pain. It treats disorders of the ear, eliminates toxins, and brings about cellular order.
Rhodonite was also chosen as it is an excellent wound healer and can reduce scarring. It has a positive effect on cell growth and is beneficial to the hearing organs. It fine-tunes auditory vibrations, clarifying and assisting with hearing.
In addition to the ones we chose, many of our references list the following stones for ear problems: Amazonite, Amber, Fluorite, Sardonyx, Snowflake Obsidian, Orange Calcite, and Tourmaline. These however tend to be more for general ear problems rather than pain and infection.
Next, we dealt with his vertigo – dizziness.
It is not unusual for vertigo/dizziness to accompany ear complaints. Our first choice was for Lapis Lazuli. Our grandson had latched onto one of our favourite Clear Quart points. This must have been his intuition at work, as it is excellent for overcoming dizziness.
Lapis Lazuli alleviates pain, overcomes depression, boosts the immune system and curbs nausea. So here it assisted with the overall objective as well as alleviating vertigo.
Clear Quartz is the most powerful healer and energy amplifier in the world. It is a master healer so it is useful for any condition. It stimulates the immune system, takes energy to the most perfect state and brings the body back into balance.
Other crystals to consider are Aragonite, Black Obsidian, Hematite, Rose Quartz and Malachite.
Nausea.
Apart from feeling unsettled, this was accompanied by a few bouts of vomiting. Nobody likes being in this state, so it needs to be controlled quickly.
Green Aventurine is a good choice to deal with nausea as it is a great comforter and general harmonizer. It settles nausea and dissolves the emotional and negative thoughts that may accompany it. It is an all-around healer, bringing in wellbeing and calm, and is excellent for pain relief.
Apart from the crystals we chose to work with, other choices are listed for your consideration. You can pick your favourite, or intuitively choose the crystal or crystals that will work best for you, or try them in combination to find your perfect crystal prescription.
Additional Crystal Recommendations: Dioptase, Emerald, Green Fluorite, Moonstone, and Sapphire.
Ways to Use the Crystals.
You can carry your choice in your pocket or bag, or wear as jewellery. It is a good idea to try to keep your crystals as close as possible. Wear or carry as long as needed.
Sitting quietly with them in the palm of your hand is another way to get their benefit, while you rest at the same time.
The method we used with our grandson was to have him lie on his side with his head on a pillow. A warm, not hot, dry heat pack was arranged over his ear, so as not to put pressure on his ear. (Warmth is a first-rate pain reliever). We then arranged the crystals around and close to his ear. While this was happening he was holding onto a largish Clear Quartz point.
As a ten-year-old we kept him entertained with cartoons on the tele. We managed to have him endure his treatment and stay still for about thirty minutes.
A couple of sessions later and he decided he was OK. It was good to have our happy grandson back again.
