Tony and His Happy Pill

One little crystal nicknamed the “happy pill” changed Tony’s opinion about crystals and healing…
A fit and healthy man in his early thirties had approached me and we got into a deep conversation. Although, I wondered why and where our discussion was going. Tony was very sceptical when it came to metaphysics and healing, especially crystal healing. The reason he was talking with me gradually became apparent. His new partner was totally into crystals and their healing potential; and he was doing his best, in his doubtful manner, to meet her in her understanding.
They met at a gem show and not surprisingly, the thing that attracted his new love was his extensive knowledge and collection of stones. Tony loved rocks. He couldn’t remember a time when he didn’t pick up and save a rock of some kind. He could tell you all about a stone’s mineral content, its chemical composition, hardness factor, locations, cleavage, and so on. All of this, along with its industrial and medical uses as well. But for all this, he couldn’t come to grips with healing stones—crystals. To him, it was all so much hocus pocus. But he was trying to come to grips with the concept.
He derisively made some reference to a crystal being like a Happy Pill; just like the snake oil salesman of the past; you just pop one in your pocket and all is cured, all is well. It’s as much mind over matter, as anything else, he said.
Tony’s Happy Pill Challenge
His comments stirred something inside me and I asked him if he would meet a challenge. He agreed. So, his
challenge for the next three months was to carry my “Happy Pill”. To keep it in his pocket, and every day as he handled it, to think of nothing else but happy thoughts. Also to think of the happiness it was potentially bringing into his life. Upon completion, he was to contact me and tell me of his experience.
So what was this happy pill?
So what was this happy pill? In his case, a Sunstone tumbled stone. But any of the happiness crystals would do the job. Happiness comes from constant contact with the vibrational force or energy of the crystal. This, along with having to regularly create a happy countenance for three months. Doing this – he just couldn’t help but notice a positive change in his demeanour.
At the end of the exercise, he stayed true to his word and contacted me to let me know what he experienced. He said that this was one of the most provocative things he had undertaken; especially as in the beginning he couldn’t see any sense in it. In the first week, he was very self-conscious and did his best to limit handling the crystal. For the next couple of days, he reminded himself how stupid he imagined this to be and deliberately left the stone on his dresser.
Then he remembered his promise and started carrying it with him again. Somewhere around the end of the second month, he noticed he had lightened up. He said he couldn’t really explain it or put words to it. However, he was just more at ease and he was noticing more of the beauty in life. Now, as he said, he didn’t want to admit it, but he enjoyed the company of his little crystal, his happy pill. As he went on to say, he really didn’t know how it worked, but some magic took place. He felt peaceful and happier inside. He was opening up to the possibilities inherent in crystal healing.
A believer and happy to say so!
This has proven to be a great win for him. He is now pursuing a different kind of knowledge to add to his extensive understanding of gemstones and minerals—his rocks—and what we call crystals. This has also been an outstanding win for the crystal healing community. We now have a solid disbeliever. Tony is now, in his own words, a believer and happy to say so!
His new love is happy as well. Especially, as they are now on the same page in their understanding of the magic of crystals, um, rocks.
As well as Sunstone there are several other happiness stones you might like to try. Check out – Crystals for Happiness and Joy.
