Living the Virtues with love and the Assistance of Crystals

A universal energy that we all share is Love. Love is the driving force that makes our life worthwhile. Love is the common thread for good that runs between us. Living the Virtues with love is what makes life worthwhile.

Nothing is more important than to give and share the Love reflected from within our own lives. Love is the one common language that allows us to communicate with one another regardless of our spoken language. Living the Virtues with love helps us to do this.

The whole world over, it is the silent eloquence of Love that enables us to make ourselves understood.

The message of Love is witnessed in the way we live our life, more than in our words and in our deeds.

Something I read recently, in one of Paulo Coelho’s books, he referred to the virtues expressed by Paul in his letter to the Corinthians.

In this letter he informs us in a few short lines, that Love is made of many elements just as light is. In school, we learn that if we allow a ray of light to pass through a prism, that ray will divide into seven colours, just like those of the rainbow.

Paul reveals to us the elements of Love, just as a prism reveals the rainbow of light to us.

The Elements of Love for Living the Virtues

And what are these elements? They are virtues we come across every day and that we can perform in every moment. Each virtue demonstrates its own segment of the spectrum of light and love and contains its own unique vibration within the energy of life.

Living the Virtues with the Aid of Crystals

Crystals are excellent aids at helping us adopt and practice each of the virtues and integrate them fully into our lives. The better we can do this, the more capable we are of living with love and expressing our love to others and to life itself.

Choose a crystal that resonates with you the most from the list corresponding to each of the virtues. Now use the chosen crystal as a catalyst for change and improvement and work your way through the virtues. Carry it with you throughout the day. Sit and meditate with it. Allow its vibration and message to permeate your being.

You could examine a virtue for a day or make a week-long self-analysis. Of course, you may repeat the process as many times as you feel the need. You may find one virtue requires more practice than another, so it would be quite acceptable to stay with it for longer.

The Practice for Living the Virtues

Perhaps starting with Patience you could contemplate how you could increase your capacity to love and to accept or tolerate your lot without becoming annoyed or anxious.

Then, moving on to Kindness, where the qualities of being friendly, generous, and considerate, become the order of the day. Perhaps we could go out of the way to do a good turn, or provide some service or help.

Next go to Generosity, which is a quality where you can happily share your time and possessions with others. It is also the virtue of not being tied down by concerns about your possessions.

You best acquire Humility by modesty; remembering that you are only equal to and no better than other people.

Courtesy may be easy to achieve just by having excellent manners and acting politely in your attitude and behaviour towards others.

Unselfishness could be looked upon as being able to give yourself away, without diminishing yourself; to be able to put the needs of others before your own, without casting your own aside.

As a Good Tempered person, you assert yourself appropriately. This ensures that you treat others, as well as yourself, with respect. You try to be easy to get along with and to master your temper, rather than it mastering you.

The quality of being simple and sincere, Guilelessness is a difficult trait requiring one to live their life innocently, honestly, openly, and without deception.

Sincerity is delighting in being able to speak and act truthfully about your feelings, beliefs, thoughts, and desires without pretence, deceit, or hypocrisy.

Living as a Witness For Love

You might try repeating the practice with a different crystal. In this way, you receive a subtly different energy and reflection while you proceed through each virtue.

The reward for having made this effort should be that your life works better and you are able to live as a messenger and as a witness for Love.
